Brief Company History

Accord Lift Services has a history of technical excellence, and was established in 1983 offering technical support, fault finding and resolution services to larger lift companies.

We began offering a complete lift service direct to customers in 1985 steadily growing by reputation and recommendation into one of the leading independent UK lift companies, to our current position where we maintain in excess of 3000 elevators of all makes for a variety of long term customers from individuals to large corporations, government agencies and major high street retail chains.

As well as maintaining lifts of any make and manufacture, we are also highly experienced in the provision of new lifts, from Access solutions for DDA, through service and food hoists and goods lifts to complex multi lift high rise passenger installations. Our accredited Technician staff are qualified to NVQ 4 and have many years of experience within the industry.

We are also able to repair and refurbish lifts from any manufacturer and able to source replacement parts for any manufacturer through ties with major industry leading component manufacturers both in the UK and abroad.

Our focus on quality and re-investment in our staff and training, and our approach to building long term relationships with our customers by being open, accountable and knowledgeable in the provision of our services, is the foundation on which the company was created and continues to grow.

Today, Accord is pleased to provide specialist lift services for a diverse portfolio of customers, including large multi-site national contracts, public sector construction and maintenance projects, and overseas, multi-national organisations. We have also developed significant expertise on large capital projects in the railways sector working with London Underground, which in turn has lead to further capital works projects on the East London Line.

We currently employ in excess of 100 staff, and operate from three main offices, in Sevenoaks, Birmingham and Manchester. We are fully certificated to BS EN ISO 9001:2000, and full members of LEIA, the lift and escalator industry association.

We also carry membership and certification to various other standards including Link-Up, SAFEcontractor, BSI, CHAS (Contractors Health & Safety Assessment Scheme) and Constructionline, and are twice winners of British Lift Association Awards.
